Force triple buffering >> MAXIMUM PERFORMANCE <<

Post » Mon Jul 25, 2011 8:28 pm

install riva tuner and you get a program called 'd3d overrider', this will let you enable triple buffering, the nvidia control panel triple buffer deals with openGL, not dx11/ 10/ 9.
good luck.
Thanks to Wrath for mentioning this utility.

Yeah, I've not used Riva Tuner in a while and I might try the d3d overrider again.

Does it allow you to use open gl instead of DX9 - 10 - 11. Honestly speaking open gl was probably superior to DX9 and DX10.

It's just a thing for dx11 really cause we're suffering right now, anyways v sync enabled or not this really helps.
I've gone back to using v sync cause i have a 60MHz monitor but lemme tell you that after keeping my cpu happy with a modified fan(now has two fans coolin' it), and using this triple dx11 buffer i'm literally flying round MP and SP too, but especially MP(talking jet-packs here).
Last night i tried to record but i've gone and deleted a component of afterburner, and having the GPU fans on custom auto i'll re-install it laters.
Anyways i've found a nice four page article about this with pics if anyones interested.

It definately helped but for me it didn't really increase my performance beyond what I was capable of before.
