A forge and smelter in your unventilated cellar?!

Seems a bit dangerous to have a forge, let alone a smelter, in your enclosed, unventilated cellar!

LOL! That was my second thought.

First thought: Oh Sweet!
Second thought: ...wait a mintue...

If you didn't die of carbon-monoxide poisoning, or cook to death from the ambient heat, the stone floor above you would melt along with the foundations and the house would fall in.

While it's soooo awesome and I love it love it love it....I just can't help but shake my head  .

On the plus side I have a coffin in the corner!

I once had a job in a die-casting plant. They had this huge, warehouse-like area that housed a smelter and nothing else. The *entire* plant would heat up to around 115f... and that was in the middle of autumn... in a huge, ventilated space.

It makes me laugh when I see people wanting a smelter in their Skyrim home basemant. But it makes me laugh harder when those people are the same ones who cry "MOAR IMERZHUN!"

I'm a vampire, I don't care. As for the rest of my husband, housecarl and steward, well.... wait, there are no windows to open.

My Dunmer, Vampire Lord, Assassin doesn't mind.

He doesn't breathe.

Because he's dead.

Fumes don't mean much to him.

No kidding.

Every single business in Skyrim has multiple entrances and exits.

Before Hearthfire, every home you could possibly buy is a Confined Space. One way in, one way out.

Apparently a Hazmat License is standard equipment for a Dovahkiin...

Ha! I noticed this as well. I tried making an excuse for it but then I gave up. When in doubt, live by this one simple rule: Never question Bethesda, for they know all!   :tes:

Don't make me go back and redo all my mods in which I've put a forge in an unventilated basemant.

lol

You'd either better get to scripting proper gas ventilation, or give them respirators.

Because Darth Vader type of respirators really fit with Skyrim's time-frame... lmao
