Can you assume control over either one basically becoming the ruler?

im just sayin, you might want to post this in the spoilers section, i can totally see some forumers totally bugging out about this thread. that being said, i dont know yet, as i haven't finished it yet

you can become the head of the respective factions, but not too much changes unforunately
