Fort Dawnguard. Not what i expected...

Post » Sun Nov 18, 2012 8:29 pm

ok so im sure most of you are with me on this but i for one was pretty disappointed in the fort, i had figured you would be able to upgrade it to look nicer and all that changed was the bedroom, and that didn't even look much better. sure the fort has all of the different items like the forge, enchanter, etc but it still looks run down, sure i would be able to deal with that but you cant even have your wife move there with you, so then why would they say you can use the fort as your home? sure this is a rant but i spent 20$ on this thing and it's quite mediocre compared to other expansions.

Actually most of the rooms changed. If you compare to when you first arrive, nearly every room is changed in someway. More so if you recruit everyone.

Agreed. Was kind of low to state "You can trick it out and stuff."

But the cobwebs. I expected them to be gone. If only we could hire a lusty argonian maid.

yeah and like i said i could deal with that but when it says "you can use it as your home" i figured, ok i can move the wife and everything there. i guess that would just make sense, and doing things that make sense seems to be going against the grain nowadays

This can't be any worse thay buying the house in Solitude and finding out that your wife always sleeps in the basemant on the mat meant for your housecarl, or having your housecarl camp out at your bedroom table in Breezehome. (I sure hope Lydia likes being a Blade, because I take her to the Blades as soon as that option is available.)

ha my wife never sleeps its like she has hardcoe insomnia or something, but funny story about lydia she died somewhere while following me and i forgot about her, so time passes and i go to marry yasolda and just as everyone enters the chapple lydia's corpse randomly flies through the door and everyone yells you ruined everything and runs out, so i had to drag lidya and hide her on one of the back rooms and try the wedding again corpse free lol

Exactly you would think of all the new dawnguard recruits that some one would have the mind to poke around with a broom or something lol

Wait, when does the forge/enchanter/alchemy table become accessible?

The Vampire side spoiled me by already having all three.

It's a rugged manly fort. Real Nords dont wield dusters and dont care about cobwebs. Real nords eat rocks for breakfast and live in old dusty forts.

Real women are too busy decapitating dragons and vampires to clean up after nasty vikings.

those webs bothered me so much, and it was rather messy in the fort. Also no one was on the towers, ever.
