Fort Dawnguard Upgrade

Post » Fri Nov 16, 2012 7:57 am

At first i thought after doing the misc quests that are given my gunmar, the fort is slowly but steadily upgraded. Like the thieves guild. Ive done so many of these quests, but realized that; there is no upgrade. Fort dawnguard looks really run down and has good potential to look amazing. Even castle volkihar is the same. What led me to think that dawnguard can be upgraded is how it looks in the trailer.

Yeah, I was hoping the same thing. Castle Volkihar could have become 10x bigger fixing the towers, the docks, the castle catacombs, and other various parts blocked off. It would also have been cool to get new members or at least a room for yourself. But there is none of this. Just a pat on the back and a the end.

Mine is slowly getting upgraded, defenses have been being added slowloy but surely, and enchanting / alchemy equipment. Ill see what happens when i do more side quests. But so far it seems to be working for me.

So far mine has so far anyways but I just did the first two missions, the above post make the castles sound as if they are in a state if disrepair or something. I think it should be a very slow moving process the quest in this game are pathetically short as is.

What do people expect? pretty much everyone shot down my complaint about the game size being tiny (3.8 gigs) and now bethesda thinks its fine to make such tiny products. As I said in other threads, complaining about the core problem is fine, but EVERYONE didn't care when i posted about this way back. If they would have made the regular game 7.6 gigs (360) they could have made every quest lin twice as long, more enemies, more radiant quests, more fleshed out companions, more enemies, and more locations, but everyone said "oh its fine".

Congrats you just got the max upgrades in the fort, Once you got potion and enchanting table and smith, Thats it. Nothing else gets added inside the fort. You get a tent added outside later. But what your seeing inside now wont change even after the MQ line and you wondered why people think this dlc is rushed :P

All those cobwebs, Dining room table cluttered and messed up. All stays.

They also added fortifications outside the fort. Huge new wooden walls galore and archer positions. Every time I come back from quests, there is something new, and this hasnt stopped so far, maybe im one of the lucky ones.
