Fortress of Gloom (absolute lag fest) anyone else notice thi

i was 28 hours in and had not thus far had any major issues with the infamous lag. there was some sporadic lag when in the field but this was not enough to cause me any worries, and after a while I barely noticed it because i was so immersed within the game.

then i went to the Fortress of Gloom on the main quest for the college of winterhold. my god that whole dungeon is such a lag fest. was this level even tested on the ps3 hardware during QA? there is no way it could have been because the performance of the ps3 through the whole level was terrible. there are way too many npc's running around for an area section this large. whats worse is that they are all mages so all kinds of magic is being thrown everywhere including summoned creatures making things much worse. there are also all those vampire prisoners you release who go on a tear wielding their own spells. i would say that during the whole level i never went over 8 fps, spending most of the time at 3-4 fps during combat. it was relief to get out. it seems to be running ok now, but i have to admit it stuttering does seem to be getting more frequent especially in built up areas.

anyone else have problems on this quest, and are there any more levels like it?
