I'll admit it, I love the concept of forward camps. I love those kind of player deployed temporary base camps that can be stationed in an area and be destroyed by the enemy and repaired and used as a bridge by allies, but what I love even more than that is if players can actively work in, at, or near the base camp and gather consumables to improve the camp itself. Build it bigger, higher, add potential defences. The more you build it the better it gets and as it gets bigger it can attract more people, until it can even become a temporary keep-like object, except that it can also be totally and completely destroyed.
However these improvements should take a sizeable amount of time and be able to be heard/seen from a decent distance away, as well as having attacks jeapoardize the improvements in some way.
Random idea is random but I absolutely love it when we can do this kind of stuff, have little way points along normally dangerous terrain, perhaps encourage tradesmen to travel near the front lines knowing there's a safe place for them to trade in the end.
Thoughts? I know this is not in the game but ZOS watches all feedback, or so they say...
