I found a bug with merchants (sort of)

I say "sort of" because its a coding issue that reveals a bug.

First of all, I recently cleared out my ingredient chest by creating them all into potions. I figured what the hell, why not, I profited over 300k focusing my alchemy skill to 100. After I did the math, I had created somewhere around 650k worth of potions clearing out the chest.

I can be somewhat of a lazy man, so after about 200k worth of waiting and selling with my fence (I only used one thinking I could drop the size of my save file by waiting) I decided to sell potions, then buy them back to increase the gold available for purchase so I could just knock it out all at once and still make the tidy little profit I already had.

In doing so, I discovered that a merchant's gold is governed by a single line of hex code. Once the merchant's available gold crosses the 65535 (FFFF) mark, anything you sell to said merchant will only drop their available gold back to the 65535, however, your gold will no longer increase from selling to this particular merchant and it will decrease if you buy. This can cost you a pretty penny if you're carrying 100+ invisibility potions like I was.

This won't affect anyone besides lazy people like me and those who just want to clear their inventory quickly so I don't think it warrants a fix.

65535 is the magic number for most (or all?) programs like this. I know Morrowind and Oblivion both consider this number to be the ultimate.

But thanks (I guess, you crazy man  ) for confirming this glitch.
