That's not game breaking. It's quest breaking. The game still functions fine.

you know... im sure the game was probably intolerable before the beta testers got at it. Just because you see one bug doesn't mean they didn't do anything.

We reported it.

In most quests if there is a part where Serana has to be with you for the quest and you try to get rid of her, she won't leave you (she refuses), and when you relent and try to get her to follow you again, there will be no option for "Follow Me".

It's on Bethesda's "fix it" list, but seeing as she still follows you around anyways (albeit at a greater distance), it's annoying, not game-breaking.

I have had it several times. :(
Once she just appeared after my character left the area, this time she would not. I have just walked off and left her there. She freezes in attacking mode and will not talk (or follow), you tell her to wait either she does it forever or tells you she is not waiting. She is always raising something my character just killed and either having it stomp all over the place while we are sneaking, or scaring the life out of me when I turn around and see it. I am forever killing her creatures before I realise they are hers. I hate having followers at the best of times, I would have preferred her being optional for most things, I would have left her behind!

And yes she did the same thing to me as she has done to mano. I asked her to wait at the bottom of the glade, since I wanted to explore and did not want to get the useless creature stuck anywhere. When I returned, there was no option to follow, fortunately we had done the reading, talking and the fighting, I left her there and when my character emerged from the cave there she was. Now we are in the Forgotten Vale and I foolishly made the same mistake of asking her to wait while I went some where she could not follow. She would not appear when I fast travelled, she will no doubt change her mind when I enter the next cave.

And trust me, we reported them all. They're all on the "fix it" list as far as I'm aware of.

I just love how we reported all this kind of stuff, yet everyone assumes we didn't do anything the entire beta. I suggest trying to load a previous save, since that seems to be the only thing ever possible right now. Until they patch Dawnguard, just save a little more frequently, as to help prevent the glitches from making you go back a few levels to your last save.

I am not that fussed about it, I am sure you all went to a lot of trouble to try and break it and were very thorough in reporting the problems. We have had similar problems in the main game, and they are still looking into it, I have a save I can go back to if this seriously goes wrong. It is just a pain having to repeat it all again, I would rather just leave her there and hope for the best. I have the cave all lined up, even if I am not sure that is where we are meant to be going. I see three options, I go for the exploration, the cave and then the spirit. Serana should turn up with one of the last two.

Edit
At the moment my character is perched on top of the overhang the big spider dropped down from, great view.
Pity about the crappy draw distance on the Xbox 360.

Happened to me twice. I reloaded saves both times but that's all it took for me to realize it was going to happen and everytime after that I would save right before telling her to wait just in case it happened again. After the main quest is completed it doesn't seem to happen anymore.

Yeah, after the main quest, she pretty much becomes just any other follower with some unique dialogue when ever you arrive at certain areas. Like Lucien's spirit.

Look how long it took them to fix the nirnroot glow stacking, large save game file bug that caused system locks in many of the
same locations on the xbox 360 (when you tried to visit them. ) They did not fix that until patch 1.6.

It seemed like they did not bother to fix that play stopping bug, for the xbox 360 upon reaching 230 - 400 hours of play, UNTIL
they were putting out dawnguard for 1600 points. I find that rather suspicious. Its like they did not care that the game
because unplayable for many of us, unless starting over (but who wants to do that, when it would have happened again
eventually?) until they were putting out dawnguard and had the opportunity to make more money?

After experiencing this game on the xbox 360, as well as reading about all the problems I can have in fallout new vegas on it,
I am unlikely to buy another Bethesda title ever again; They just seem very sloppy about not letting bugs enter the game,
as well as not fixing them.

Luckily, I managed to get through the entire game once 1.6 dropped (except for non xbox 360 bugs, like Lod dying from a dragon
attack the first time I entered town and me not knowing what he was for until I was trying to get the daedric artifact achievement
40 levels later...) as well as Dawnguard (playing as a dawnguard )

This was probably the one "real" DLC for skyrim, so I probably won't play it anymore now. I'm just still messing around some.

Well entering the Forgotten Vale Cave has not moved Miss I want to stand around all day and do nothing. Might have a quick look go for the spirit just to make sure I am not wasting my time.

Edit
No go with either option, back to the save I go. :(
