Found out what the update does straight from the Cry-Tom on his twitter page.

"Today we released the first of a number of security updates, accounts that we have identified as exploiting an unfair advantage have been reset and if the activity persists they will be banned permanently. If you find yourself being kicked from every MP game it is because our systems have detected you cheating. We will continue to update anti-cheat software in Crysis 2 and strive for a cheat-free community."

Nothing about fixing game bugs like the grain glitch. I am all for getting rid of cheaters, but I want that grain bug gone please, more than anything.

It didnt fix that annoying pinging sound that comes from the marines in the campaign,its starting to spoil the experiance for me.
Theres no way crytek didnt notice it when releasing the game,these new game releases are riddled with bugs lately,maybe trading standards should get involved in the future,its a good game though.

Reports are coming in, and I can vouch for this, that the update has reset the Retrieval Module...I was a few away from getting it to stage 2 and it was reset to 0...no explanation

And developers who announce infor on Twitter before their own official sites for the games just make it redundant to vist that site

Come on, it's the same update. Use your noodle. PC and 360 are not that different. 360 and PC both get patch same day, I am pretty sure the patches are the same.

That's exactly what i was thinking. The prox. alarm detects both enemies and friendlies alike. Try switching that mod when you are around NPC's and see if that helps.

I'd hedge a guess that fixing cheaters was easier and quicker to implement than some of the other bug fixes we've requested. I don't have a problem with them doing that first and I trust that the other fixes are forthcoming.

Yeah that grain bug kills the SP for me, which I was loving tremendously. The grain is sooo blocky (and wavy) after the first raining level.

It's like going out with a beautiful woman, then the next date seeing her face covered in herpes.

for those bichin bout retriever getting reset...its because even if you dont have it equipped a few of my buddies have still been leveling it up. being able to level 2 armor modules at once seems like a bug. soo they ARE addressing bugs. also, the count was **** up in the sense that it wouldn't level based on kills, only on kill streaks or some ****. so it would take a long ass time when it shouldnt

You're making a general assumption that the same patch applies to both platforms and that is wrong.

Unless otherwise specified, the only thing to assume is that the cheating patch only applies to the PC.
Nowhere in either post does Cry-Tom even mention the 360.
