Found a random dead guard in solitude

Post » Sun Jun 10, 2012 1:58 am

I walked out of the Winking Skeever and saw the body of a guard lying in front of the entrance to the city. The weird thing was I didn't kill the guard, and the body wasn't there when I fast travelled into the city minutes before entering the Winking Skeever, and it was as if it just popped out of thin air when I came out the building.

Methinks someone has been doing some dirty work in Solitude :nono:

That dead guard might have been down to me. One of the Solitude guards made some comment about "Cats" in about that spot. I hadn't heard those sort of remarks for a long time so I reintroduced the "City Guard Politeness Training Programme" in case some of the others had forgotten the lessons.

Solitude seems to have been having a hard time recently in my game. First, the mysterious dead guard, then a dragon attack on the city that killed 2 more guards. It's funny how the world works in this game. Or maybe someone just really has it out for Solitude town guards http://www.gamesas.com/index.php?&app=forums&module=extras§ion=legends#

I had enough of him taunting me about someone stealing my sweet role. I'm the dovakiin and harbinger of the companions. I'm Thane of Solitude damn it, he needs to show some respect... so I made an example of him.

I've had things "fall out of the sky" in my game and die at my feet, just another wierd day in wacky old Solitude.

I shot the guard in the knee and since then the guard became severely depressed to the point where he committed suicide.

Shouldn't shooting a guard in the knee create some sort of paradox? I mean they're already guards because of being shot in the knee in the past.

He shot him in the other knee. Now he can't even be a guard. " I used to be a guard, but I took an arrow in the other knee"

Hardly a glitch, or bug or anything. Sounds like the work of a crafty assassin.

I like the fact that sometimes while walking along the road in the wilderness i`ll jsut come across a body or even just arrows stuck in the ground which has nothing to do with me.

It`s stuff like that which makes these open world games for me- To feel like I am not the only cog in the world.

lol, when the guards asked "What happened here?", I was like "I swear I didn't do this, despite what you might think. Now, before you come to any conclusions, I'd like to remind you that I am the dragonborn and can shout you to bits in a matter of seconds".

Last time I was up in Dawnstar (quite awhile ago, now that I think about it), I walked into town and found a bunch of townfolks gathered around a dead guard between the Inn and Mine. There were no signs of another creature/bandit attack (i.e., other corpse) nor dragon attack (e.g., breath attack remnants).

Since the last time I was there I *did* have a hand in a miner turning up dead, I figured it best not to linger around a dead body and tempt fate or credulity.
