Free play Story, the way you want to play.

One of the many things i like about crysis 2 was the campaign. whatever way i wanted to play was the way i could in the game. some games make you play a certain way, like in splinter cell, you always had to be stealth like, which was good for the game. this game you can be as invisible as much as you want, you can be a solider and run in guns a blazing. or you can incorporate a little bit of both. or you can choose to do neither. how ever you want to play and that's the way i like it.

Totally agreed!!! The campaign is design is best, play the way you want to and have a challenging AI too except sometimes it gets retarded lol

other 9/10 for campaign!!! epic experience

The campagin IMO is easily the best this generation and while the AI is retarded at times and bumps into objects and other AI it actually kind of makes the game funny in a way to see two AI guys bumping into each other going "arghhh!"

But its easily the best ive seen in a game besides the first Crysis (well actually better because they had that **** of being able to see you through thick foilage).

The AI actually try to out flank you and slide, jump into cover and actually try to evade your fire rather than just staticly standing there, there is something very satisfying about killing the AI in this game compared to others.

Its funny how the reviewers can only criticise the apparently "weak characters", "pacing is a little off", "Minor Sound glitches"

Basically people are trying their hardest to nit pick at the game and find flaws, the game is so technologically complex and everything runs dynamically so you should fully expect there to be more problems than your standard corridor scripted shooter, otherwise your just a moron.

THe lowest review score the game has got is from "The Telegraph" newspapers website and they gave it 7/10. Lets be honest they gave black ops a 10/10 so they know absolutely **** all about video gaming and gave Homefront a 6/10 so they are trying to say Crysis 2 is only slightly better than Homefront! LOL!

The only other accounted website to score it low was a French gaming one but they are just bitter about being occupied by germany in two world wars since it was a german studio.

The campaign basically in my book is easily one of, if not the best FPS campaign this generation. My only real complaints are the non consistent AI and the fact that the game had to end at some point.

i think it's awesome. the SP-gameplay. i think it even spoiled me for all other shooters.

but the story needs much more depth.
and the MP a new studio.

Agree with that totally. I'm pretty much hooked on SP, now i'm doing my second playthrough and realizing the potential of the nanosuit and spending more time exploring the levels and all the possibilities i have to achieve the goal. But the story is a bit shallow. I use Bioshock as comparison. A FPS with a great story and a beautiful game. But i'm liking Crysis 2 a lot.

You wont get much depth out of an FPS story unless it has some sort of RPG elments to it like Bioshock but in fairness you cant judge the depth of this games story until youve collected and read al the newsletters and understand the story from those aswell.

I recommend collection them all on your second playthrough, they answers alot of questions.

I understand what you mean. That's why i'm taking my sweet time sweeping the levels after the combats to search for clues like the emails, plus the car keys and the dog tags. I know i might be a bit unfair comparing Bioshock but i found it's story compelling right from the get go. But like you said, let me search all the clues to find how the story unfolds...

I'd class this game as a campign game, I wouldn't mind trading in multiplayer for double campaign.

I'm only about a quarter of the way through the campaign but I'm already completely geeking out over this game. I can tell I'll be playing through the campaign multiple times.

and honestly I've been enjoying the mp too- feels really solid on my network, no complaints so far.

I do believe the story has more potential. it could have been longer with more twists in the plot. But i just love the free play so much. it is so fricken awesome to have a shooter game where you can just play the way you want to.
i personally love the game the way it is, including mulitplayer. the only problem i have experienced in multiplayer is the server issues.
