Greetings,

Two days ago I purchased Skyrim, and have been playing it with little difficulty aside from the occasional freezing. To get to the start menu, it would sometimes take an extra minute or two for things to load. After reaching Winterhold, my game seized up entirely. Now, everytime I start the game up, after I get past the bethesda logo, the start menu freezes and eventually says disk cannot be read. I haven't taken the game out of the console since I got it, so I doubt it's scratched. I'll either get to the start menu with the skyrim logo, and no fog before it freezes. Or the fog/smoke under the logo's texture doesn't load. Or sometimes they both load but I get no start game option. The odd time I will get the start game option, and be able to view all my saves, but when I try to load it the random model that you can move around on the loading page appears as an error sign until the game finally stops being read again. It's rather annoying. I had my brother pick it up for me and I don't believe he kept the reciept. Has anyone else had a similar problem?
