Frenzy poison?

Post » Mon May 28, 2012 10:24 pm

Basically title says it all. With the poisoner perk and the 5/5 buffing alchemy perk, can you make good frenzy poisons that are viable past like level 10? Whats the maximum magnitude we can achieve with Frenzy in poisons anyways?

Can someone put on their +alchemy gear they got from abusign the crafting skills and tell me the strongest frenzy poison they can make

The ingredients that provide Frenzy are:

Blisterwort
Fly Amanita
Falmer Ear
Hagraven Feather
Human Heart
Troll fat

Frenzy poison is good and bad... the problem is, it's a poison, so you have to be close, and they will attack anything they see indiscriminately. I use the Frenzy spell to great effect in the 30's, so the effect stays viable... but the delivery method makes a difference.

if you're a good archer, then the projectile can end up badly injuring or even killing the frenzy victim. So it only really works if you drop it on a really tough enemy in the midst.

Also, it IS a poison, so I suspect poison immune foes are immune to it too, and to make matters worse the level isn't that high unless you supplement your alchemy with enchanted alchemist equipment.

I'm not sure what level you can get it up to.

Oddly enough, the worse an archer you are the better the poison honestly is. It's best for a melee assassin.

Ah good poiunt.

Im looking to see the maximum level that can be frenzied by poison.

I do not know the modifiers though for frenzy per the ingredient list I gave. For all I know falmer ear makes frenzy poisons twice as strong I can't say since that info isnt available yet due to lack of a CK

I believe the questions we're wondering about are the following:

What's the highest frenzy level that you can achieve with 100 alchemy and all the relative alchemy perks? (But w/o any +alchemy gear or potions)
What's the highest frenzy level possible with 10 alchemy, all the alchemy perks, AND any and all +alchemy gear?

I'm at about 85 alchemy right now with all the important poison perks and 5/5 alchemy perk and I'm getting 12ish frenzy or so last time I checked, which is absurbly low. Fear and frenzy just aren't high enough to be viable. I end up using the Thief guildmaster shadow power that makes enemies fight each other instead. Paralysis, slow, and weakness to poison are probably the best poison effects thus far (unless you're a mage then the weakness to fire/frost/shock/etc would be pretty fantastic).

Using maxed +Alchemy Gear and the appropriate perks, I get level 26 for 10 seconds.
Without +Alchemy Gear, I get level 12 for 10 seconds.

That means the standard max, without the alchemy/enchanting loop, but using standard 4x +25% Alchemy gear is level 24 for 10 seconds.

I tried every ingredient combination, and none made a difference. All Frenzy effects are the same.

I'm pretty sure my Illusion Frenzy spell, with appropriate perks, is level 29 or 30, and it's a ranged attack. It did require a lot of perks in Illusion though.

Unfortunately. Still, the Frenzy effect is very effective if delivered from range, or if you manage to stay hidden after delivering it. I'm level 39 on this character, and my illusion spell still works on everything I use it on. Also, Reverse Pickpocketing poison is still amazing... you can put multiple poisons on them in one go, effectively making it a 1-hit kill.
