After seeing some in-game footage (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eT0dRYzUMo8 ) i am realizing
how important phyics were in Skyrim for me.
Especially when fighting I miss the feeling of impact. Especially there is a part in the vid where the guy kills an animal.
There was no impact whatsoever, it just felt and....dead.
To my surprise I realize that this really feels missing yet.
What do you think about it? I know there are good reasons NOT to implement it. I am not saying: "It needs 2 b there I wont buy this pease of c***"...
I just would like to think about where a phyics-Engine would be problematic.
Also while researching about that I read that:
http://www.pcgameshardware.com/aid,1034123/The-Elder-Scrolls-Online-Improved-effects-with-DirectX-11-Exclusive-Tech-Interview/News/
Q: Do you utilize PhysX, Havok or another middleware or do you program your own physics libraries?
A: We use Havok.
which actually surprised me. Have you seen anything like physics somewhere? Could you imagine they implement it later? Or is there absolutely no way to manage that?
I mean: Why not phasing the physics, so nobody have to see my cheese-wheel-castle?
Isn't the physics-calculation unrelated to the server, could it be completely client-wise?
Could there be parts of the game it would work and others, where they could just disable it?
What about the castles in PvP: They said they will make them destroyable...
Do you care anyway?
If there is a thread about that somewhere, just point me there...
