I cannot complete the quest in question. I walked into the lighthouse and cleared the cave prior to walking into the center of lighthouse to start the quest. Now that I did so I am stuck with the quest marker on the monsters corpse. I'm guessing the items I already grabbed from its corpse are required to finished the "find the source of the murders" part. I tried looking for a console command correction but the only one I saw completes every quest in the game, not what I wanted. Anyone have a solution?

Anyone know anything about this? I thought they were making it so completed quests would continue if you complete the task prior to getting the actual quest. I have had at least one where it worked like that. I went to the top of the tower and clicked on the fire and it removed the husbands remains and there was no update. Still wants me to find the source of the murders. Again, if anyone knows a console command to advance a specific quest one stage forward let me know. There was one for Oblivion. The lists I found for Skyrim do not have one.
