I hope I'm not the only one who is experiencing this, but it is very frustrating as I cannot progress in the game at all because of this. Come to think of it, it is a side mission, but still.

When I'm doing the first mission for Slackjaw where I find his gang members' body in the lab area. I get the Lost Message and continue on my way out the door. I tried both doors on the first and second floor, but when I proceed to the Blvd. The area loading screen appears as normal...however, it doesn't actually load. I let it sit for about 20 minutes and nothing. When I go to quit my game it basically restarts my PS3.

I tried reloading it about 3 times. No luck. I even started the entire mission over so that I am just sailing to the fort in the beginning of the Golden Cat mission.

So is this an issue that is because of the game? Maybe my PS3?

I'd really like to get this mission done, but I don't think it'll happen until I can get to the bottom of this.

Another issue I found isn't something vital, but takes away from the game's "creative kill" trademark.

Again, I hope it isn't just my game, but whenever I put a spike trap on a rat, and then possess the rat to go surprise some guards, the game freezes completely and I have to reboot my PS3

PC, Xbox, and PS3 are having these issues. Check the other help secions(by the I mean PC and Xbox) just to reassure yourself that you aren't alone.

Hi, iam having the exact same problem with the rat trap, ive try it 2 times, and they bouth freezed all my system and a very anoying sound, i had to hasrd restard my ps3... iam afraid to try it again... too bad, i really wanted to use this power... i hope they can fix this or send us a fix. regards,

I just started the mission from the start again and turned of auto save and its working ok so far

How far into the game is this? I'd like to avoid running into this issue but I have no idea what to look for.

Snoug, this is the part where Slackjaw will ask you to find one of his of men in Dr. Galvini's Office. Once you go into the office, you will reach your objective (avoiding spoilers) and if this issue persists, you will try to leave Galvini's office and the game will stay on the loading screen forever.

I'm going to give this a try. I''ll report back to let you know how it goes. Seems like turning off autosave is going to bump up the difficulty just a little bit, haha

I'm also trapped in Giovanni's Office after finding the gang member's body. Tried leaving via all three exits, but it always gets stuck on the loading screen.

Have had the freeze using the springrazer on mouse thing. Too cool an ability not get fixed Bethesda.

I saved it and thought i'd give the mission a try once. Finished it just fine without issue.

Fat PS3.... Autosaves disabled and music disabled. Patch 1.01

I have a fat as well, but game freezes everytime I try a springrazor on a possesed rat. I don't really want to play much more of it if I can't use that ability. Might take a break until there's a patch

Same problem here on PS3 slim with 1.01 patch, what a shame to be stuck after only 3 hours ...

Same Problem here. Tested reinstalling the Game and restarting the Mission .. always when I try to go back to the Street the Game freezes .. this Problem seems to appear when leaving the House of Dr. XXX ..

I'm having the same problem on the slackjaw side mission when i go into the dr g building i can no longer get out it just sits at loading screen i went back and started lvl over and over and it always freezes when i try to leave dr g building not sure why ive already went threw and beat the game once trying to go threw it again and it froze up WTF

As a bit of an update, which I took a while to post. I tried the fix someone had mentioned and it didn't work. I'm thinking of just starting the game over completely. I mean hey, I'm not that far and trying that mission once more. If that doesn't work then I guess I'll just be the outcast at the Golden Cat

i got stuck in the same phase, while trying to leave Galvani's lab.

are they realeasing a fix or not? can the missione be skipped? (even i go mad thinking about it )
