Fukushima radiation and the U.S. West Coast...

Seems to only be two extremes of opinions on this. Either they say the Fukushima nuclear leak will have zero impact anywhere in the world or it'll be doomsday on the West Coast.

And as usual when there are two extreme opinions, neither of them is worth spit.

If it meant doomsday for us, it'd mean equal doomsday for Japan.

Japan is fine (more or less), dilution will make the problem less over the wider area.

If it'll put your mind at ease, I'll allow you to buy me a geiger counter + radiation suit and I'll take samples of the beach... I might stick out a bit though with everyone else in swim trunks and bikinis...

It's not the end of the world for the West Coast. Fukushima will have nominal if any affect on the US environmentally.

We may as well get used to it. Earthquakes happen and these things exist in earthquake country. It's basically a controlled nuclear explosion balance by sensitive systems that do not like to be shook up.

With regards to Fukushima, All we can hope is that Godzilla is Fiction and not Prophecy.
