I've gone for,
Grace Bishop..
Strength: 8, Perception : 5, endurance : 6, Charisma : 8, Intell : 1, Agility: 8*, Luck 5.

Traits: small frame*, and good natured.

Skills, Melee, speech, sneak.

Factions, any that'll point in the right direction and use small words with accurate gestures.

History, the youngest grand daughter of the chosen one and Mr's Bishop, she's retained all the amazonian might and looks of the tribe, but the few Vault brains from Mr's Bishops side got scrambled be a 9mm bullet lodged in her skull.

Out of my five role-plays, this one is definitely the most fun.

Richard "dike" Mantis, Private Investigator:

S 7
P 7
E 8
C 3
I 8
A 7
L 8

Skills: Maxed Gun, Maxed Unarmed, 75 in Speech, 50 in Lock-pick, 90 in Repair, Maxed Sneak

Perks: Lady Killer, Gunslinger, Mysterious Stranger (This is your partner, always arriving to the scene in the last minute), Silent Running, Jury Rigging, Finesse, Toughness 2, Slayer, Grim Reapers Sprint, Piercing Strike...

The Private Detective uses Alcohol to raise his strength, like all good noir P.I.s do...

The only weapons you can use: That Gun (The Deckard Gun...need I say more?), Maria, Mysterious Magnum, Silenced 12.7 pistol, Brass Knuckles, Golden Gloves...

The "dike" wears: Benny's Suit, Dirty or Grimy business wear, Fedora (Any style)...

The true role-play factor here is to think of quests as cases, asking for compensation up front is not morally wrong since your a contracted detective. The P.I. has no companions except for your partner, the Mysterious Stranger...

Do you use I.T. to boost your stats? They seem very high.

Implants, I may have taken one I.T. I would have to go look. I know my perception is really a 6, I'm wearing a hat though. This is a needy build in a way, but very fun and still easy to achieve these kind of stats around level 22-24. This is a very novel build, unfortunately though there doesn't seem to be a lot of lady killer dialogue.

Yeah, it seems like it would be really fun. I'm all about going for something real stylish or unique if only to make it more of a challenge. ie, wearing something besides armor, or good armor. I think FO3 was great, but I always went for the Ranger Armor, since it was so good. I don't know why I didn't consider going for some clothing options in that game. But NV seems to make me want to be more adventurous with builds, despite cazadores etc.

Yeah, the toughness and sub dermal implants are a must (for this build), giving you a cool 10 DT .

I was going to make a Deckard character, but there are no trench coats aside from the Mysterious Stranger's trench coat, which for some reason, Bethesda still won't make available.

I'm currently playing a cowboy character, but I got tired of using that horrid-looking duster and just C-4'd a veteran ranger for his armor.

I just made a hit man.

S 4
P 7
E 3
C 7
I 6
A 5
L 8

Traits: The one that makes you shoot slower... but increases accuracy. (forgot the name.)

Weapons of Choice: Silenced sniper rifle, Rat Slayer, pretty much anything light and silenced at this point.

Armor: Reinforced Leather armor

(Buying implants for everything but Strength, seems like a waste to me considering my build.)

My cowboy/gunslinger wears the dapper gambler outfit, or whatever one is the black one with the Mississippi string tie.

Elvis Presley. Thread with advice http://www.gamesas.com/index.php?/topic/1140102-the-elvis-presley-build. Final range of perks ended up being a mix of Elvis's cowboy acting roles, his expertise in karate, and extreme durability (I mean, he is immortal).

Tag Guns, Barter, Survival
Traits Wild Wasteland, Good Natured

Lady Killer
Rad Child
Ferocious Loyalty
Super Slam
Cowboy
Rapid Reload
Toughness x1
Toughness x2
Adamantium Skeleton
Solar Powered
Hand Loader
Piercing Strike
Mysterious Stranger
Miss Fortune
Slayer

Have also recently started a build for a Legion-aligned woman named "Callahan" who specializes in melee and explosives, born to Khans who were massacred by the NCR. For my Mr. House-aligned playthrough, also made "Rusty," who is loosely based on Lucky Harith, specializing in things that go boom (energy weapons with meltdown, explosives, and shiskebab with pyromaniac).

Demoman!
The black Scottish one-eyed alcoholic we all know from Team Fortress 2 now made his way into the Mojave Wasteland!
He likes just anything that has to do with explosives. This guy loves to see things go BOOM.

His main perks are:
Heave, Ho!
Bloody Mess
Demolition Expert
Pyromaniac
Splash Damage
Meltdown

The combat skills are mostly Explosives, of course, and Energy Weapons.
His weapons of choice are explosives naturally, but Flamers and Incinerators (which are especially deadly with the Pyromaniac and Meltdown perk) also make sure there will be a lot of bright lights and loud noises.
The Demoman is an expert in killing big groups of enemies in just a few shots. The main concern is getting enemies bunched up and blasting them. Bodyparts everywhere!
Obviously subtlety isn't the Demoman's thing, so don't waste those skillpoints on lame things like Lockpick and Sneak. For these reasons it might be a good idea to take perks like Toughness, Adamantium Skeleton, Stonewall and Hit the Deck. Demoman's Speech is pretty terrible too (seriously, you really can't make up what he's saying most of the time), since he's pretty much drunk all the time and probably deaf from all the explosions.

Because he loves drinking so much he likes hanging out with Cass and having her as a drinking buddy. Suffice to say, drinking Scotch, Whiskey and other booze is his main occupation, when he's not blowing people to bits.
Also, he likes the Powder Gangers and Boomers for their shared love of boomsticks.
Who side he's on....I really don't know. He doesn't even know that himself (There are no BLU and RED teams in the Wasteland). He'll probably blow up Mr. House and Caesar by accident because he accidentally slipped his finger on the trigger of his Grenade Machine gun.

All we need now is a wearable eye-patch and some cool Demoman armor.

Just thought up another from one of my all-time favorite games.

Doom Guy (Our Hero)

S:6
P:6
E:7
C:4
I:5
A:7
L:5

+Guns
+Medicine
+Repair
+Explosives

Traits: Kamikaze, Trigger Discipline

Weapons of Choice: Spiked/Brass Knuckles (Fist), 12.7mm Pistol (Pistol), Hunting Shotgun (Shotgun), 10mm Sub-Machine Gun (Weapon on cover of DOOM), Minigun (Chaingun), Missile Launcher (Rocket Launcher), Plasma Caster (Plasma Gun), Chainsaw (derp), and as far as I know, there is no AoE energy weapon that could fill in for the BFG9000

Armor of Choice: Combat Armor and Helmet Mk II and Advanced Radiation Suit

Perks: Hunter, Rapid Reload, Educated, Run 'n Gun, Bloody Mess, Demolitions Expert, Lead Belly, Shotgun Surgeon, Toughness, Strong Back, Finesse, Fast Metabolism, Splash Damage, Adamantium Skeleton, Tag!

This actually sounds very fun.

Also, if you are on PC, you can simply put the eyepatch on the the character preset in the G.E.C.K.

A character I first created in FO3, but I'm now putting through NV:

Veracity Steel, a good-natured scoundrel who's pitched somewhere between Cat Ballou and Halo Jones. I don't have her exact SPECIAL to hand but she's got high CHA, AGI, INT and LCK. She has maxed-out guns, high repair, barter, sneak and lockpick, as well as decent explosives, survival, melee and speech skills.

Traits are Good Natured and Kamikaze. Her perks include Cowboy; Gunslinger; Black Widow; Rapid Reload; Run 'n Gun; Pack Rat; Quick Draw; Mysterious Stranger; Jury Rigging; and Action Girl.

She as-close-as-always fights with one-handed pistols, her current weapons of choice being Lucky and the Mysterious Magnum, though she's not averse to using explosives to level the playing field.

She's fond of a drink, and so when the sun sets must be under the influence of alcohol. Her tipple of choice is Vodka, which she loots at every opportunity, hoardes and will never sell, though as her natural travelling companion is Cass she's acquired a taste for Whiskey as well. Is currently wearing Recon Armour, Authority Glasses and a Sherrif's Hat, though her choice of outfit is dependent on looks as much as anything. She holds no love for the Legion and has an uneasy relationship with the NCR, though she's happy to freelance for them on occasion. In the long run, her only ambition is to deliver the Platinum Chip to House so she can trailblaze under her own steam, looking for booze-fuelled adventure wherever it may be found.

edit: isn't it funny how we're all making alcoholics?

Xarnac The Conqueror inspired me to start a new game.

Sal "Snakes" Montoro, a mafioso originally from New Reno. He pissed off the wrong family and had to get out of there, so he came to the mojave to start over, picking up some temporary work as a courier to make some money before getting into the strip.

He's not "evil" per-se, but he is corrupt and mostly amoral.

SPECIAL:

7

He's not the sharpest tool in the shed, but he's got a natural charisma and is pretty lucky.

Skills: Small guns, speech, barter.

Weapons used includes 10mm pistol until I get Maria, 9mm SMG until I get Vance's SMG, and a sawed off shotgun. While in town he only wears pre-war business suits and/or benny's suit.

Gonna get toughness x2 and the DR implant as soon as possible.
