Funds Running Dry? Solution to Your Problem.

Like myself I'm sure most of you are finding that gathering materials is starting to add up in terms of money. In Dawnstar there is a Kajit that sells goods/items to you. Walk up to her and ask her what she has for sale and see what she has but don't buy anything. There is a hidden chest which I'll post a link to, that has every single item that she sells (including her gold). You can take these items without getting into trouble. It may weigh you down depending on how much you take and you can sell these items to various vendors throughout Skyrim. It's one of the easiest ways to get your money back.

Note: The Kajit's supply will replenish after 24-72 hours and can usually be found at night in Dawnstar. You must ask her what she has for sale to get access to the items (and gold) in the chest.
Note: Having your Speech skill tree maxed out will make the process go faster (go to the trader in Riverwood. He tends to have 11,000-12,000 gold).
Note: Certain vendors will only take certain items; that is why this might take a little longer if your speech skill tree isn't maxed out.

I hoped this helped you guys out. Here is a link to a video on youtube.

There are more of these Khajiit merchant caravan chests. One is outside Solitude. Should be a third somewhere in Skyrim -- there are three Khajit caravans.

Much easier way to get money:

Go out and kill things and sell their stuff. Kill Legendary dragons if you have dawnguard.

Cheating for gold to instantly have a full house plop into being would really detract a lot of the value of making your own house I feel.

Im not cheating on this character, I havent even used a trainer yet, I have my bed and a cabinet at thieves guild hq and a plot of land to the north of Morthal. At 100 gold pieces a job for vex and delvin my house is going to take a very big plop for it to just appear.

Cheating? These are game mechanics, I have theif characters that use trainers and steal pretty much anything they can get their hands on.

Does that classify as cheating?

No it doesn't classify as cheating for the way you want to play the game, The way I am playing at the moment is without trainers, no looting the chests at Dawnstar or Markarth, I'm not using enchanting/smithing/alchemy to make godly gear I have done that in the past and got bored 1 shot killing. So Im taking this one slow.

I didn't know about this. Thank you.

Oh well there goes, about "everyone knowing about it". Well maybe now everyone knows about this since I just found out. I doubt it I am sure many people don't know about it.

Even if many people do know supposed "common knowladge" things, it's good to put out just in case someone who doesn't know can read it.

Arrogance of some people. Reminds me of a saying I just read. Wise men speak because they have something to say. Fools speak because they have to say something.

Again to the OP, thank you for sharing this.

I got almost 50k gold on my character and ton of resources that I have farmed myself. Got more soul gems then I know what too do with, iron and other metals are easy to find once you know what mines have them.

Oh yes it's really an intended game mechanic that you take a vendors inventory from an invisible hidden chest.

Your comparison is also a pretty awful attempt at justifying the use of this.

Another way to get money that can't be considering cheating (I think these hidden chests are kind of cheating but, hey, I'm spamming soul trap on dead bodies to level conjuration, so who am I to judge? :P) is to get the transmute spell, then to a little dungeon delving.

First, Halted Stream Camp north of Whiterun where you find said spell, and loads of loot and iron (which you turn to gold).
Then Kolskeggr Mine outside Markarth, make sure to get the quest from Pavo Attius first. Kolskeggr is a gold mine, so mine all you can and collect a nice pay from Pavo for clearing out the Forsworn.
Then go to Karthwasten, and mine all the silver there.
If you haven't done the Forsworn Conspiracy/No One Escapes Cidhna Mine, do that as well, and mine all silver while you're at it.
Turn to gold.
Make jewelry.
Sell.

I think you're ignoring my point, I was replying to someone mentioning using trainers/enchanting/alchemy trades to buff up their character.

Does it matter if you cheat in a single player game? No-one has to justify themselves for their actions in their own world.

I've got to laugh at the people saying this is cheating. Is using alchemy or smithing to boost your power cheating when its built into the actual game. Is using a companion cheating. You play the game how you like there is no cheating in skyrim because its a single player game. Who can you cheat?

And I'll also add that people that discover things like this in the game are showing initiative in exploring more than what you think the game has to offer. Like today I discovered that upstairs in my new house there is a barrel next to a bookcase. I jumped onto the barrel that then allowed me to jump on top of the bookcase. From there I could jump up onto the beams on the ceiling and walk along to where the wall is that splits the double and two single beds. I then dropped a torch onto the beam meaning that the area is now a bit better lit.

so was that cheating because I did something that wasn't really the set format for the game? I didn't know about all the loot in the chest the op is talking about but now I do I shall use it. Thanks for the info.
