[REQ] FUS RO DAH from the trailer

Post » Tue May 15, 2012 6:12 am

It'd be pretty cool if someone could replace the one ingame with the one in the trailer. Not sure why, but I think it sounds cooler.

I think it sounds about the same....? But I think it would be cool if they released new shout voices, provided someone has the talent to record the voices well and to master the final sound file.

All shouts have 3 words in the dragon language. So it's definitely not fus RODAH. ;)

Have you heard how it sounds in the game yet? Because that's what he's referring to. Ro and Dah are said a lot faster than the Fus part making it sound like two words rather than three.

In-game the Dragonborn says "Fus", then pauses briefly, then quickly says "RO DAH".

I agree that I liked the pacing of the trailer's version more, but it would be difficult (read: impossible) to get the original version of the trailer shout sans background music and sound effects. Someone could voice act it themself though if they have a high-quality microphone.

well with that attitude it's impossible :P

It is actually not that difficult to extract a voice sample from an audio file given that there isn't excessive background noise.

Would it be too difficult to take the current in-game samplings of "Fus" "Ro" and "Dah" and splice them together so that they more seperated?

I just want a viking chorus to engage everytime I shout or enter a tavern, is that so much to ask?

yea... i have a general problem with the shout sounds, it seems like the timing is kind of random, especially with the whirlwind sprint, which basically ends up being "wuld" *sprint* *wait* "nah", so it's actually done sprinting before finishing the shout, that's what bothers me most about the shouts, i mean, it could be fus ro-dah, which does kind of makes sense, but still the timing of half the shout being after the result doesn't

Well, if the words are individual sounds, the sound could be modified to add some silence before 'dah' to space them out. I listened again and realized it does sound like only 2 words, not 3. I also like where the last word is louder and more pronounced...
