I randomly found this video on Youtube,of Gabe Newel's keynote from DICE 2013.

Before the 2 next gen consoles where even announced,Gabe was asked what the next steps of Valve (and PC gaming in extent) will be for the future.

Streaming between devices,social integration,internet services like Facebook on the living room,multimedia,the cloud...

Basically everything he said except from expanding user generated content (mods) was taken by SONY and Microsoft and was added to their consoles,and some of them where even presented as main selling features.

Wow. SONY and Microsoft just took the features Gabe said would add to Steam and added them to their consoles. That makes him seem like a prophet.

Of course Valve still has the known bad habit of announcing something way before it makes it available. (Half Life: Ep.3 anyone?)

Nothing major, it was just them trying to catch up to what PC's offer.

Prophet? Not in the least. Able to tell where the tech was likely headed because its the same direction most every other tech has been headed (smart phones, smart tvs, tablets, etc)? Obviously.

Anyone and everyone was saying the same [censored] for years now.

Wasn't too hard to see where it was going..
