Gagging for Alteration, Illusion and Restoration perk trees

Ladies, you're both pretty.

I'm kind of worried about the overcharge perks I've seen in a few trees. I'm hoping that's just a bonus and not the primary means of doing the dualcast of the same spell.

They are not bonuses, overcharge is required for dual casting..

What I want to know what benefit is dual casting ex. shield spell vs perked shield spell??
Also what is the benefit of dual casting an open spell??

Pretty much need all of them to be honest, minus the Necromancy based perks and still on the fence in regards to Illusion as well.

I'm actually going to forgoe getting the Restoration perks a lot them sound nice(really really nice). But I don't think I want to get rid of anything else for it. I wonder if I can pick up silent casting from illusion without having to take any other perks..

No idea on the layout, but I suspect you would have to get at least one before getting Quiet Casting and that's a pretty optimistic assumption. With a required skill of 50, I suspect it's a mid-low top tier perk.

Yeah that's what I was afraid of.. :/ The only way I would be able to make some room for that stuff is if I decided to get rid of my pick pocketing, stealth perks, and speech perks; frankly I don't really want to get rid of those. Guess I'll just have to rely on my dagger for stealth.
