[HELP] Galaxy.dds issue - same image shown twice across just

Hi folks, I have an issue with what I assume should be one of the easiest kind of mods for Skyrim. It concerns the galaxy.dds file.

I have basically replaced the standard galaxy.dds with another I made in GIMP 2.0, I used one of the many 'Pillars of Creation' pictures that can be found on the internet. This is a part of the Eagle Nebula which has been extensively photographed. When I change the picture in GIMP to become a .dds file (renamed as galaxy.dds) I find the result is only half of the night sky uses the image and in that half of the sky, the same picture is displayed twice at different angles.

I looked at other examples where custom galaxies were used and I altered the dimensions to match but still I get two of the same image. I understood here that enveloping the entire sky might be another issue altogether, perhaps galaxy.dds can only one half after all. But it didn't explain why my nebula picture was still being displayed twice.

Can anybody shed any light on this subject? For instance, is there another .dds file I can use instead of the Galaxy.dds to achieve my aim? I want the whole night sky to consist of the 'Pillars of Creation'. Or is there a way to edit the ini files to manipulate how Galaxy.dds is shown in the game?
