Game Breaker - Dawnstar Sactuary Bug (SPOILERS)

Post » Mon May 14, 2012 2:38 am

Exit for the Dawnstar Sanctuary (where you come in) does not work to get back outside. Door is covered with stone and when you click it it does nothing. Cave for "The Cure for Madness" Quest line for the Brotherhood. Can't get out.... and no save.... now I have to restart 17 hours of gameplay :flame:

Yes, it's the gamer's fault that the game is full of bugs.
Apologists like you are the reason Bethesda thinks they can get away with hardly bug-testing their games and laugh all the way to the bank.

The bottom line: people who paid $59.99 for a game (or as an Australian, 99.99$) should not have to load a game to get around a bugged quest in what is one of the year's biggest releases.
Nor should they have to put up with FPS drops which make the game nearly unplayable.
Or terrible sound.
Or bugged NPC's.
Or super long loading/saving times.

Every single one of these issues should be solved, or at the bare minimum, fixed to a hardly noticable level before the game ships.

I'm not asking for a perfect game. No one here is. I'm asking for a playable game. I'm asking for a game which does not perform as if playing it on a netbook, or does not sound like it's coming through a telephone, which allows me to complete quests (since, y'know, they're kind of important in RPG's).

If you think that for 99.99$ a pop, the developer should produce any less, then you have a deluded sense of value.

Maybe because Autosave doesn't work? I had all Autosave options enabled and it never saved anywhere.

you would think when you have an important aspect of the game's quests such as the dark brotherhood quest line that they would make sure it wasn't glitched in any way
