Game Continously Crashes

Post » Mon May 14, 2012 9:31 pm

So, around 30 mintues into the game the game completely freezes, crashes, and causes me to pretty much completely turn off my computer. My graphic setting were orginially on Ultra so I put them to High and it still happened. First crash took 30 mintues, second crash took 5, then the next one crashed in about 30 seconds rendering this game unplayable.

I'm pretty sure I meet the system requirements to play this game that well, and I don't really know what the issue might be.

I've gotten a few random crashes, straight to desktop with no error messages or anything else. Can boot right back up, but of course it's kinda annoying.

Any chance you have the dual core optimiser installed on your system?

This piece of turd software installs with Batman AA, and can cause instability when you have more than 2 cores.

I don't believe so. I have a quad.

I didn't have anything like that as far I know.

Check your startup program's using the run command "msconfig". If its there, uninstall it in control panel.

Other than that crashing every now and then usually isn't an issue with the game itself, but how it communicates with your hardware. Much like the "threads" issue with fallout 3 and quad cores.

One more thing it could be, is your CPU or gpu fans or some other hardware may be failing. Windows 7 has a good feature where if it actually can't run something, rather than die with BSOD (mostly), it kills the program.

Yeah, it's not in the start-up files.

I was thinking aswell that my graphic card isn't being cooled poorly and might be over-heating with this game. I'm updating my graphic card's driver and seeing if I can turn it up any.

Iunno where to go for that, though.
