Game Currently Unavailable

Decrypt, download huge update, then click PLAY- "Game currently unavailable".

Steam Forums: "Sorry, we've taken down the forums because someone gained access to our databases and took your credit card info. Enjoy"

Other than the Steam Forums (olawdy), is anyone encountering the above "Game Currently Unavailable" message? It's 11:35 in Texas at the moment.

There's a fix for that, search it in the support forum.

Welcome to the world of Steam.
Like all other attempts at "anti-piracy" it only ever hurts paying customers. Pirates are happily playing the game without any such inconveniences.

Found it- doesn't work.

However, opening the Skyrim folder in the steam folder and clicking the TESV.exe file does work, however, it's limited to running in a teeny-tiny window. The actual Skyrimlauncher.exe does not function.

Hmmmm What now?

For reference, I've:

renamed the ClientRegistry.blob
Verified the integrity of Skyrim files
Found all .exe files (2) in the skyrim folder and ran them (see above)

Edit: Solution in my case: unchecking the Read-only box for the Steam/subfolders folder. Odd.
