I have a 160GB hd with 111GB free. I just installed RAGE Anarchy Edition and when I launch the game is just goes black for a couple minutes and a screen pops up saying Ps3 lacks the hard disk space and must force quit.
My Ps3 is the latest version and I've double checked to make sure I have plenty of free space... any ideas?

Sounds like a bug. Try erasing it and installing again.

Tried uninstalling both the main game and the smaller update file. Still giving same error.

The exact error is "There is not enough free space on the hard disk. The game was forced to quit. At least 6047 KB more free space needed. " The number 6047 also hasn't changed since I deleted some old saved games.

this game needs a patch out!! I already talked the company!! They were no help! ID software will be email me tmw..Im so mad about this!! Installed the game 6 times know and still nothing just a black screen for single player!But why can i play online!! crazy

Hate to say it, but you guys should format your HDD's and try again. If that is out of the question (and understandably so), you may just have to wait for a patch.
