Game forces ps3 to crash

Post » Mon May 14, 2012 7:00 pm

Done the update to newest version but was in a keep on the side of Lake Ilinata and the game froze twice forcing the ps3 to hang, forcing me to turn off the system. Anyone else had similar? didn't do it once outside in the countryside!

I'm having a similar issue. Shortly after character creation the game forces the PS3 to crash at the exact same part every time. Haven't even played at all yet. I have the 1.01 patch installed too. Pretty big bummer. Any other patches coming??

Decided to bring the game back. Didn't like paying 60 bucks for an unfinished/unplayable game. Maybe I'll think about picking it up once they get everything figured out.

I was having the same issues. The game froze on me two minutes into the game. After a reboot it froze shortly there after and again the next day. I "Restored Default Settings" on my PS3 XMB and it seems to have fixed the problem. I get occasional stutters but then everything is fine, haven't had to reboot since. Could be a coincidence but it worked. Hope that helps. (And I don't mean "Restore PS3 System"....don't do THAT!! Just restore the settings to their default.)

If XMB settings change RAM usage (only slightly), you could experience crashing if the system doesn't have enough memory to load the specific content. Personally, my XMB is normal, with no changes other than maybe color. IMHO, this is probably something to consider. My game runs, mostly, fine. I've had 1 forced restart where the game froze on a load screen, and a few graphical anomalies. Other than that, it's running quite well. Also, I did not install the day one patch. So it's running whatever is on the Disk. (Going to wait for another patch, the first one seems problematic.)
