So as soon as I go into campaign mode the game freezes instantly. Multiplayer works fine... Any fixes or work arounds?

weird, i only have this once in a while in MP while loading a map for example.

I am sure u tried:
- hard resetting your ps3? (button on the back)
- playing another game and switching it
- reading HELP/SUPPORT

maybe?

might be your disk, might be the disk didn't install the data correctly at the beggining.

happening to me as well. either freezing the whole PS3 to where i have to hard-boot it, or just totally crashing it & forcing it to turn off completely by itself in the middle of the game. it's gotten SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO friggin irritationg! here's my statement to the crysis 2 team:

so utterly tired of crashing/freezing of Crysis 2 on my PS3. the web is filled with complaints & others asking about this problem with seemingly no response from devs/publishers/sony, etc... do you guys even give a crap about your fans/consumers/purchasers? NO OTHER GAME CRASHES MY PS3! and this is one of the most looked forward to games in ages! WTF?! i've been tweeting via twitter about it & of course am ignored. how about responding to folks that reach out to you? or do you not give a crap once games have been sold/rented/etc. prove me wrong please. show me that someone gives a crap over @ this company! #EPICFAIL

Crysis 2 is freezing my PS3 as well. I can't get to my saved campaign game. It goes through the "loading please waiit" screen then just black.

I really don't want to start over with the risk that it might do this to me again when I'm several hours in...
