Has this happened to anyone else. It started happening after I got the new Xbox update.

I'm also having this exact problem, anytime i use a weapon hotkey my game locks up.

It also seems to lock up when trying to set the hotkeys in the pipboy or when hitting the RB for VATS.
But I can do up on d-pad to change ammo types fine or just switch weapons using my pipboy menu.

It started for me sometime after leaving from goodsprings and heading towards the NCR Mojave Outpost to the south of prim.
I had just finished the ringo quest and saved deputy beagle in prim just before.
Was on my way to the NCR outpost to ask for reinforcements for hayes.

I had fast traveled to prim from goodsprings then to the highway police station and somewhere just after that it must have started.
I hadn't noticed the problem til later as I had not switched my weapon for awhile.
But after loading older saves I found they all had the glitch til I went all the way back to my save in goodsprings.

So only thing I can think of to do is to try just using the pipboy to switch weapons til they patch it.

Hey I wanted to let you know i was messing around trying to find a way to get this to work right and I did.

I went into my pipboy and dropped all the things I had on hotkeys, mine is all weapons so i just dropped all the weapons I had on me.

When I picked them all up I only had received two of the ten weapons I had dropped so that was wierd.
I tried again this time just dropping them one at a time then picking them up and that was fine, no wierd disappearing weapons.

I imagine this is probably what you need to do if you have other things that aren't weapons on hotkeys to. Since Dropping items resets your hotkeys.

I noticed the Silenced .22 pistol that i stole from chet in goodsprings showed up as stolen on the ground but when I picked it up and dropped it again it showed normal like it should have.
This with the hotkey locking makes me think the game is somehow losing it's information on which items you actually have.
So when you go to use the hotkey for something it doesn't know what you want it to pull out and it freezes.
