Has anyone else been having issues with freezing in the main game world at the exact same area?

Fort Hraggstad -always- causes my game to freeze, and I've tried everything I can think of.

Clearing the Cache does not help this.
If I use fast travel to a nearby destination, the game will freeze on the loading screen.
If I attempt to just run to the area, the game will freeze when i get near the fort.

I have tried every combination I can think of for this, and I have noticed the following:

I can seem to get a slight bit closer by walking -very- slowly, and the game appears to jitter as I get close once every 5 to 10 seconds.
The Stormcloaks I am supposed to meet there to assault the fort do not load. I was close enough to activate the quest update once, however froze almost immediately after the update. No NPCs in sight.

It seems to have to do with the particular quest, seeing as the NPCs aren't where they're supposed to be along side the road.

I really hope this is going to be one of the fixes addressed in 1.2, I love this game but recurrent freezing in the same area is driving me to stop playing.

Mine began to slow to a crawl in the middle of the battle so I brought up the xbox menu (the middle button) and lowered it after a minute and it cleared up.

Seemed like it just gave the game a second to "catch-up".

Very non-technical, I know, but it might help.
