I need help figuring out how to get out of a quest loop. I'm almost 30 hours into this character and can't seem to figure out how to advance the main story line.

I'm trying to finish up the quest called "The Fallen". I am on the third task which is to get the Greybeards' help in negotiating a truce. I can't advance this quest until I talk to Ulfric Stormcloak. I also have quest called "Season Unending" which is related to "The Fallen" since this is the quest that has the tasks to talk to the two leaders (one of them being Ulfric). When this quest is active and I go to Ulfric, he says something along the lines of "Shouldn't you be in Korvanjun proving Galmar right or wrong". I haven't yet started the quest "The Jagged Crown" because when I try to do the first task (talk to Galmar) he says something along the lines of "getting Ulfric to talk to the Empire is a waste of time" and never mentions anything about "The Jagged Crown" quest. When I actually go to Korvanjun, Ralof is just standing there waiting to fight somebody and the entrance to Korvanjun is blocked by vines.

Any ideas on what to do next?

i dont have any previous save to go back to and would have to restart the game if i cant get around this. Is there any way to solve this?

I would just go kill the ice wrath and see if that helps, if not then... I'm not sure talk to the imperial guy first?

already killed the ice raith, the imperial guy wont talk to me either

Not sure what to do then, it you on of there would be a little hope for you using console commands but on ps3 and Xbox 360 you have only a few options. 1) talk to everyone related to te quest(s) and hopefully find a solution. 2) load a save from before the problem and always SSO (save and save offten) because sandbox games like this have lots of bugs and or 3) wait for a patch and hope the patch fixed the problem (next one is tomarrow I think)

If you are on PC open the console and correct it. There is a list of bugs and how to fix them on there.

u gave to finish the jagged crown quest to continue the negotiation

what ever, thanks for all the suggestions guys, i think i'll just reroll another character, at least ill have gotten through most of the side quests
