Hi, I have been playing skyrim religiously for a couple of weeks and have clocked up just over 60 hours at level 32. Loving the game so far. The framerate is now starting to drop, it's still perfectly playable but it's noticeably worse than at the start of the game. My understanding was that the patch sorted out the lag problems on the ps3, is this the case and can I continue to explore new dungeons/towns or should I keep things on hold for a while?

The patches have moved the goalposts regarding the lag so it now takes effect later than it would have but it will still eventually happen once you have uncovered enough of the world and your savefile grows.

It will tend to improve from time to time as the game does world cleanups and resets so it shouldn't start getting bad until your saves are between 11 and 14Mb as a rough average.

Still be wary about collecting stuff you find that is named as it's probably a quest item and the quest that requires it may well break if you picked it up, results such as stuck in inventory and quest arrows on the spot where it was are the normal results.

The game still has some major unfixed issues that may improve when patch 1.07 is available which should be within 2 weeks if reports of it being submitted are accurate and it passes certification with Sony.

just try and enjoy the game, don't worry to much about stuff going wrong. If you anticipate that something will go wrong you'll not enjoy it as much. Keep playing it the way you are playing it now. If you ask those kind of questions here you will get mixed answers and get confused.

That said, I delete my characters when they reach the age of 10mb savefile. That's when they start getting sick from Laggittis (it's a word, look it up! best if you don't look it up)
But that's my expirience. Some people will tell you complete different stories.
