I can't even play--the game freezes at the load screen. Will the patches fix this or did I just waste $60.00?

I was having weird freezing issues and crashes. Emailed beth and they recommended I delete the game data and redownload it. Did that. Now I'm having the same issue you're having with the game staying at the hint screen. Music still runs and the hints change but it won't let me play the damn game. I gotta say this hasn't been the most enjoyable gaming experiance I've had and it only seems like the problems/issues with the game keep popping up.
