Gamer version

Post » Thu May 10, 2012 8:32 pm

Where can I find the game version, ie if its 1.1?
First, and probably, last game I am getting that has Steam so its a learning curve. Taking things for granted, such as install paths, then finding its not like that.

run the game yesterday for the first time and Steam downloaded something, I assume its the 1.1 patch?

ps apologies for typo on thread tirle, doing this at work trying not to get caught, the pull of skyrim is too strong...

It's in the bottom left corner of the in-game menu, I think. Where it says save/load etc.

Steam installs in steamapps/common and you can easily backup the stuff by copying those files out. It's quite convenient once you understand how it works.

I personally like having steam aggregate all my games in one place rather than multiple install directories. The easy backup also lets me put away games easily (got a SSD which is small)
