Something I found just browsing New Vegas videos on youtube today, a 6:56 long interview with J.E. Sawyer.

Interesting points (maybe):

So the Courier is apparently from California, and being hired to take the package from there to The Strip? I knew the Courier was hired to take the package to House, but I can't remember it being mentioned that he/she's from California. Anyone remember if it was?
And the other thing that I'm not sure was mentioned before, the Brotherhood of Steel actually being in hiding from the NCR and the chance that you might not even see them in your game.

I don't think that's ever been mentioned until now. All we've been told is that he or she is a blank slate that gets shot at the beginning.

Just got done watching it and seems like I missed it.

It would be better if he wasn't from Las Vegas, would make him seem like less of an local hermit.

At about 4:16, he says that the Courier is taking the package from California to New Vegas. It could mean that he/she is a courier in California and is taking the package from there, or maybe the courier is from the Mojave wasteland, but traveled to California to get the package, then came back. The former sounds slightly more plausible I think, but hey, we won't know for sure for another 3 weeks.

Hm, sorry about that.
I've seen people take stuff from other people's site several times before without crediting them.
(And the time-zone thing is messing with my mind, I can't compare which was up first.)

That can have any number of reasons. Considering that was on the gamescom and probably towards the end its more than explainable.

Lol I can't help but notice but is it just me or does it look like someone drew a '._.' face on Mr. Sawyers left cheek? :laugh:

Also. This video was a good find. Another interesting point I'd like to make is that Mr. Sawyer said 'And theres the BoS. If you can FIND the BoS' which would imply they arent in some humongouse pre-war office building this time around. :laugh:

Hmm. To be honest I hope they leave The Courier's past as vague as possible for RP reasons; NV has a great advantage over 3 in that your can RP The Courier to be pretty much whoever you want him/her to be, whereas the Lone Wanderer is always a Vault Dweller.

Also; BoS at war with NCR now canon, wonder if there's a way to forge a peace?

Pretty much my thought on the blank slate, I hope it sticks to just the vague agreement of delivering the package and nothing else.
