Games for people who love Skyrim

Post » Wed Dec 26, 2012 9:36 pm

I am a huge fan of Skyrim and havn't stopped playing since 11.11.11. And I was wondering what other games would this community recommend me to purchase with gift cards I recieved this Christmas? Keep in mind that I don't often purchase games, so the ones that I do enjoy the most have as much playability as possible.

The games that come to mind are possibly Dark souls, XCOM, FarCry 3, or something else? I only have the cash for one new game and I love Skyrim enough that I trust this community could offer me an alternative that would keep me fairly happy. I'm on the PS3 btw if my signature didn't give it away.

Thank you and happy holidays.

FC3 is quite fun, but far more mature (read nudity and six). Haven't tried XCOM, but if Yahtzee likes it (the guy who does zero punctuation), then it's got to be fun.

Personally, the only game I've got my eye on is GTA5. But, I'm a svcker for Rockstar games...and sandbox games anyways.

Thanks, I think Rockstar is a fine company and I enjoyed Red Dead (if only because I could see that it was a pretty good game), but I just couldn't get svcked into it for some reason. I just love games I can get svcked into. Like the Mass Effect trilogy; loved it.

RDR is one of my favorite games of all time. Mainly because I'm a huge fan of Old Western films, mostly the old Clint Eastwood flicks. I spent pretty much my entire life waiting for a western in game form in that style, and Rockstar delivered for me. Anywho, I've been a R* fan since GTA3, so I'm a bit partial to them anyways. xD

If you don't mind playing older titles, might I suggest Never Winter Nights? It's a great RPG made by Bioware, before they sold their souls to sEAtan. Made in the top down dungeon crawler style. I've still got my original copy, as well as the diamond edition.

NWN is a game nearly any modern PC could run without a hitch. NWN2 is a different story, but that's because Obsidian made it...crashes like a drunk horker in a china shop.

It's obligatory that I recommend Fallout: New Vegas.
