Quite. Thank you for coming on here and gathering questions as well as from your own community. You guys are doing it right!

Also on a side note...THE BLUEPRINTS ARE BRILLIANT. This is basically what I said about the Coin system. It doesn't matter if they don't balance it, it still requires the blue prints and this enforces what the game is about. Freedom! You get to choose all this, it is optional, you are being rewarded for trying to get the best out of your environment.

Once again, thank you so much for this interview and I am more than certain now, it is worth the wait!

Money can be used with blue prints you acquire through exploration to buy technology such as longer range on crossbow, or zoom magnification + audio amplification on the mask. You can possess shell fish to hide from guards on some levels. They also discuss the chaos system as well as dealing with alerted guards.

I love that you can possess what is basically a cluster of barnacles; you can't go anywhere, its such a pointless animal that no one would want to inhabit like a snail or something. Yet it had advantages since no one is going to smush a bunch of barnacles its hard for barnacles to look suspicious lol

very good interview, shame it was so short!

Just a word of caution -- maybe obvious... but I quit listening mid-way into the 2nd question: don't want to know these things.

Want to play. ;)

That is a great example of game developers doing it right. They make the barnacle a part of the world and the interactivity and emerging systems is what gives the option/possibility to possess it.

Who lives in a barnacle under the sea? Corvo Atana! >_>

On a less humorous note, I love how the more information that comes out, the more excited we get because they've got so many little details like this that are unique and make the game better and better. I'm fairly certain if information keeps pouring out, someone here will explode from excitement... that was still humorous, damn. Lets try again - Ehem - Dishonored shall be awesome. The end.

Corvo Attano.

Yes, that seems to be the trend around here especially for myself. Although, the little details that made my mind explode don't really add all that much to the experience.
For example:
-Being able to take off the mask in a few scenarios. That's great and all and adds more to the dramatic effect but doesn't really alter the gameplay or enhance it. Nice feature that I personally love but isn't really a big deal.
-Emily's drawings getting darker when your Chaos is rising. That sounds really good but it will most likely be a short visual note. The consequences of your actions, affecting a small child that lost her mother...fitting.
-And the barnacle thing, like I said it's great that it's there and that the emergent systems allow for it to be but it isn't part of the core design. I mean, it could be argued that it can be used to escape from guards but how often will you need to hide like that in the game? Still, I am happy that the systems allow for it to be possible.

I stand corrected! Some gameplay in a new interview has a sign stating "Wanted: Corvo Attano".
