Geared toward playing a Nord?

Is that what we are meant to do? In Morrowind, it didn't seem right to be anything but Dunmer. And in six hours, I won't know what to do.

Why am I so stupid?

I think Breton makes the most sense.

They have human and elf in them, so they will not be biased in any real way in this war.

And as Dragonborn can make peace (hopefully) out of this mess.

Nice thing about the lore of Skyrim is that while Nords are the largest group inhabiting Skyrim currently the proto-elves and proto-humans both occupied Skyrim during it's troubled past. As well there have been large migrations from every race over the last millenia so you can reasonably play any race and trace their lineage back eons in Skyrim if you wanted.

Play the race you feel most suites your play style.
