I love 98% of the voice acting in game and tip my hat off to the actors and crew... but General Oliver looks nothing like he sounds and acts nothing like he should!

Not all characters can be as awesome as Sgt. Apone, whom many video game characters have been modeled after FE: Sgt. Johnson from Halo.

Back to the point though, people have been laughing about this kind of thing since Rick Astley started singing.

Well, its stated many times ingame the reason Oliver is running the show and not someone with actual experience like Hanlon or Hsu is because he knows the President. he also refuses to accept advice that he would be unable to take personal credit for. So yes, Oliver is definitely a politician...
