Getting attacked for no reason by villagers in Riverwood? : V

So I'm barely an hour in, finished the starter quest, went to riverwood, waited 10 hours so I could sell my stuff, and now everyone in Riverwood attacks me on sight? Wtf is going on? I didn't commit any crime... Is there any way to see your bounties in various regions? I can't find it in the game.

Have your weapons out, wait for a guard to want to beat on you and holster it, hopefully he will then take you peacefully.

What a terrible bug and yielding mechanism... Are there even guards in Riverwood? All I see is 3 or 4 angry villagers right now. Someone really needs to make an active yield mechanism mod...

No, I didn't kill a chicken, steal a strawberry, or any other action that could possibly make people suddenly want to kill me. Everyone was fine with me before I waited overnight. Is it illegal to wait inside a city?

Also, is there really no way to view your bounties without committing a crime to get the notification?

I don't know, I don't think I have ever played a buggier game.

Go to the start menu and then "Stats" or something like that

Did you complete any quests? There is a quest bug where completing it would make the entire town hostile to you.

I've waited overnight and was fine . tho that old woman on the tanner hired some thugs to kill me cos I stole from her, but she never saw me do it

Ive been attacked for no apparent several times myself. Most recent is in whiterun, i go to that hunting shop and the owner attacks me. I have my weapon sheathed but he keeps attacking. Guards outside just ran from us. Checked my crimes stats and i have no bounty, havent trespassed or assaulted either.

PC i have none of the bugs you guys are saying you guys have. Consoles might be buggy or im lucky. Killing a chicken is an extremally offensive crime in skyrim that involves the entire town killing you for your crimes against humanity and crimes against poultry.

I've seen a few graphical glitches but my games been running perfectly and I've been playing a good 18 hours daily... I had the weekend off don't judge me! >.<

Also, I'm on the 360.
