Getting Dragon and Daedric Armor

Post » Sat May 19, 2012 1:21 am

for whatever reason, daedric has a higher armor rating than dragon. daedric also takes a very rare item to make each piece. a daedric heart for each. but I love my legendary dragon armor

it reminds me of the bone and chitin armor from morrowind but 10x better

My guesses to why Dragonplate is weaker than Daedric is that it is either

A) Because Dragonplate is significantly lighter than daedric.

B) Because Dragon armor is rather easy to craft compared to Daedric.

or

C) Because someone fudged up the numbers for them.

If Daedric is supposed to be the end-all-be-all of armors, then I think it should take the final perk and 100 skill in smithing to make, and Dragon replaces the current requirements for Daedric.

That's kind of what I was saying. In oblivion, weak monsters still gave you the top tier armour and weapons. In skyrim they don't, at least not yet. I've got some good stuff, but I've earned it the hard way. By killing tough monsters. I suppose solving puzzles or finding a hard to reach location is ok too.

What I DON'T want is to walk into a cave, kill a bandit, and find a full set of Daedric armour. That's why I prefer skyrim over oblivion.

Exactly. I love earning my gear the hard way.

No. You can get Daedric armor from the Atronach forge. Its the thing under the college. Not gonna specify cause this is the general section.
