I mean, Steinbergers are cool looking, but I think the main appeal about them is that they are mostly not made out of wood, and this one is... I'm not sure if I'd drop $1500 on it if it isn't meeting that requirement, though it may very well be a nice guitar. No judgement here about your Dragonforce signature guitar. Signature guitars are funny like that; the Korn signature Ibanez K7 is said to be a very good guitar, and I've recently looked at the Jim Adkins (Jimmy Eat World) signature guitar, which is a Fender Tele thinline with p90's and a set neck (!!!!!) and some really nice finishes. The most offensive signature guitars are the ones that have some sort of overbearing graphic of the artist's name or logo (like the Akerfeldt guitar...).
The thing I like about the ZT3 is the trem' system, you can transpose it 5 steps at any point without going out of tune.
And the logo on the Akerfeldt sig' is the only thing that stops me from buying it, the way it plays and the tone I've got out of it is superb. Not to mention it looks gorgeous (logo aside).
There's a lad in the year below me at uni' who has a PRS 22 (I think) and that was unbelievably good to play, well and truly out my price range though.
EDIT:
I like the Paul Allender sig' as well, but those bat inlays are vile.
EDIT2:
And that Nick Cantonese one as well...
Unfortunately the SE 24s leave me wanting.
