Getting NPC's to leave the Blades.

So, I did the MQ a while back with my main character and during that time I enlisted the Circle as the new blades members since I thought I would have an epic team that would follow me around. Anyway, this was not the case and I soon realised that Jorrvaskr was way too quiet with the Circle in Sky Haven and Vignar and Brill in Dragonsreach. Also, I didn't really feel like killing Paarthy so the Blades were a no go area for my main character. At the time I ignored my main character (since I'd done everything I could do with him without breaking the RP) and started a new one and another and another, so the problem soon faded.

Fast forward to now and Dawnguard and I want to find a way to get Farkas, Vilkas and Aela out of the Blades and back to Jorrvaskr.

I'm on PC so mods and console commands are available, so any suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks in advance :)

Can't say for sure, but can't you reset their factions with console commands?

Well, I don't know how the command line should go, "removefromfaction" or "removefaction" or whatever, but the faction code number for the blades seems to be 72834 (assuming I'm interpretting the Creation Kit correctly). So maybe try selecting the NPC and use one of the commands above with the faction number?

I suppose an alternative might be to reset the quest (resetquest freeformskyhaventempleA) and/or kill/resurrect/disable/enable the NPCS in question?

Please realize, I'm just making some guesses here - I don't know if any of this'll work and I don't want to make a mess of your game.

You can remove someone from a faction using

addfac -1

The number at the end of the command signifies the actor's rank within the faction, using -1 there is supposed to remove them from it entirely. That said, I don't know if it will work to get someone out of the Blades in a way that will make the NPC return to their previous home and resume their old activities there.

I tried something along the lines of this although I removed from the Blades Recruits faction. This resulted in them stopping the Blades talk but they continued to reside in Sky Haven Temple.

I think that their part of the SkyHaven faction rather than the Jorrvaskr Sleeping Quarters faction. Do you know if these are factions and if so what are their ID's!

I could not find any factions like you described, at least not using the same means that I came up with the Blades faction - you can download the Creation Kit (it's free) and dig around yourself, if you're so inclined. My gut feeling here is that there are a bunch of variables and game settings involved that you'd need some serious work to reset everything necessary to completely undo what's been done in-game. So, be prepared to accept your fate, as such.

Beyond that, the only other suggestion I have is to use the console to relocate the NPCs to Jorrvaskr: take the PC there, then open the console and use "prid (NPC ref ID#)" followed by "moveto player" and then "resetai" and/or "recycleactor" - again, you're experimenting around here and I cannot vouch for the efficacy of my suggestions - I'm just throwing some stuff out there and maybe you'll get lucky.
