Getting owned by imps and a random thief

Post » Tue Jul 03, 2012 2:44 am

I decided to make an honorable knight from Skyrim and found some decent armor and got an iron longsword. I've had to face bears rats and bats and have dealt with them no problem. It's kind of a hassle how all the enemies are bunched up so I can't rest, but whatever. I have a high endurance and can take a few blows, yet this random thief who is hiding behind a door just obliterates me in two hits? This is kind of cheap since A I didn't see it coming(did she backstab or something?) and B, she attacked through the door the second time. The third time she ran right at me and I put the stupid lady in her place. Can someone explain why she was so deadly?

My main problem is imps. My weapons don't do anything against them, and all I have is a sabre and a longsword. I don't own any spells and don't what to do. Thanks!

For imps, you need a weapon made out of steel or better.

When you hit the imp, you should see a message like 'your weapon is ineffective' (or something similar). That means, to hit that type of monster, you need a weapon made of a higher quality material.

I'd suggest just skipping the room with the imp in it, and come back after you've found a better weapon elsewhere in the dungeon.
