Getting Robbed As a WerewolfVampire Lord

Post » Sun Aug 05, 2012 11:38 pm

I find it weird that this can happen. I've had thieves run up to me in both forms on different characters and try to rob me. I pick the intimidate option and they say something about how I look weak despite being 8 or 9 feet tall and having massive claws and teeth. It somewhat astounds me that Bethesda looked over this. Honestly who tries to rob a werewolf or vampire lord when one hit can kill you?

I find stuff like this breaks the immersion more than anything.

ya there are quirks in the game but i can over look this when i consider how grand the game is all together.

Anyway, a couple days ago i was rollin my new mage character and wonder through some kinda hunters camp that was bigger than normal which had around 5 or so people in it. I picked up two mammoth's tusk which was stealing since they were none hostile. However, i forgot that i was RPing my mage as a non-theif player with some morals so i immediately dropped them. Then a couple secs latter a hunter said something like here you dropped this and gave me back the stolen tusk lol. I was curious if it would still be tagged as stolen and it was lol.

Anyway, i have a few stories like this but what kinda of breaks immersion for me as well is how NPCs react to you in dialogue. For example, here i am the Arch-mage ofo the college of winterhold and the mage at Whiterun always tells me when i trade with it that line "hey you should consider joining up with the college..." I know many people talk about things like that but all in all there is no game in the genre that is the most satisfying for me to play in.

How would one rob a werewolf or vampire lord in the first place? Werewolves are freakin' naked. I'm assuming vampire lords are, too. What would you take from either? Some hair in the werewolves' case? A nail off a vampire lord?

The non-human forms aren't carrying a thing.

Obviously, the bandits in Skyrim play a lot of Baldur's Gate...
