Getting Skyrim to detect my video card

Hello forum!

I'm having some trouble getting Skyrim to detect my graphics card. In the launcher, I can only choose my integrated graphics card, not my actual one.

I've gotten new drivers and updated skyrim (through Steam), so now my techical savvy is spent. Do you guys have any tips?

Specs:

Intel? LGA1155 Core i7-2700K
Kingston DDR3 1333MHz 8GB KIT CL9
Samsung SSD 830 Series 128GB DTK SATA3.0
Seagate Barracuda? 500GB KOM-PC
MSI Radeon HD7970 3GB GDDR5 PCI-E
Gigabyte GA-Z68X-UD3H-B3, Socket-1155
Corsair Cooling Hydro H80 CPU cooler
Sony DVD±RW AD-5280S-0B BLACK/SATA
Creative X-FI Titanium Fatal1ty Champion
Corsair Powersupply TX V2 650W
Corsair Obsidian 650D Midi Tower black
CyberLink DVD Suite 7 XP/Vista/Windows7

I've been able to run Diablo 3 and Mass Effect 3 at full juice without ill effect, so it seems Skyrim-specific.
I'm also running the whole thing on my TV, via HDMI, if it matters.

Any tips are appreciated!
