Hello! As I said in the title I am getting Skyrim tomorrow and I had a few questions about the game. I played Oblivion back when it was new and I didn't really have a "class" for my character, I was just a hybrid of a mage and a warrior. This time around I am wanting to be a rogue, but from what I have read Khajiits make the best rogues. I am a huge fan of Argonians and I was just wondering if Argonian rogues are that much of a difference from Khajiit rogues. If you think I should play a different "class" as an Argonian just tell me why and I will consider it. Thanks!

Races don't affect your choice that much anymore, the cats just get a better start on thief base skills (I have one). Just enjoy the game and experience and don't need to worry or focus too much. It's your first playthrough, and its one amazing game, words can't explain how deep and detailed it is. You'll see.

To be completely honest, forget about your friends/family/school/ well anything cause you probably will not have a life after tomorrow...

Don't even think about roles or races. I remember being a sneaky Nord wearing heavy armor in Morrowind and I feel like that was my favourite TES character. Races don't matter anywhere near as much as they did in previous TES titles. You can even be an effective Orc Mage if you wanted to.

The only thing that matter is your play style. No race nor class restriction.

Sneak skill is incredibly easy to level. In fact it is the first skill I max when all my other skills are at best 30-ish.

Khajit makes better rogues, because of their ability to see in the dark at will. Of course, its an edge no matter what class you are playing. Any race can get night vision easily.

Race makes little difference now, pick what you think looks the coolest.

I recommend not being a mage, as they aparantly get very weak later on in the game. Also there is no class selection so just use what skills and fighting techniques you like the best and you will level up just fine.

Ultimately, races don't have that much of an impact on your gameplay. It's more for roleplay purposes than anything else.
