I started playing again last week and I downloaded HF but not the other one. But not sure that matters.

I can play my saved games fine. But when I create a new character I get through everything until you run inside then run up the stairs and the dragon destroys the tower. That part never comes. The NPC goes up, then yells to get back, and then nothing. I even left it open and 20 minutes later nothing.

I did a search but couldnt find anything, so is this a known issue? Or does anyone have any ideas on what might be happening?

I dont have any mods or extras, it was a fresh download and then install of Hearthfire.

I have tried several times with varying races, all with the same result.
